World Menopause Day 2016 – 16 October 2016
MMS’ annual celebration, attended by about 200 participants, was officiated by Ms Nora Murat from the International Federation of Planned Parenthood (East Asia and Oceania), who gave a short address on the population expansion in the Asia region and how they are lobbying the government to provide social security as well as better facilities for an ageing population.

Merdeka Walk 2016 – 31 August 2016
The Merdeka Walk, a collaboration between MMS, Persatuan Penduduk Emerald 13 and Joincare Rehabilitation Centre, was held to celebrate the spirit of muhibbah (harmony), while promoting MMS and encouraging a lifestyle among the general population.

Menopausal Sexual Health Forum 2016 – 20 August 2016
Themed ‘Unravelling Bedroom Secrets’, the forum was meant to acknowledge that sexual issues exist even after menopause, and encourage open discussions about bedroom problems among spouses as well as between medical practitioners and patients (both men and women). President Dr Ho Choon Moy presented a talk titled ‘Secret Pleasures of Menopause’, while Immediate Past President Dr Wong Kim Lei followed with a talk titled ‘Sizzling Without Hormones’.

Pangkor Laut Magical Retreat 6-8 May 2016
MMS’ overland trip to beautiful Pangkor Laut Resort from 6-8 May 2016 provided the perfect opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy three glorious days of sun, sea, smiles and relaxation! The trip, attended by over 50 paxs, was organised by Mrs Jagjeet Singh, a MMS veteran who is living proof that one could defy age with the right attitude and mindset.
