Menopausal Sexual Health Forum 2016

Themed ‘Unravelling Bedroom Secrets’, the forum was meant to acknowledge that sexual issues exist even after menopause, and encourage open discussions about bedroom problems among spouses as well as between medical practitioners and patients (both men and women). President Dr Ho Choon Moy presented a talk titled ‘Secret Pleasures of Menopause’, while Immediate Past President Dr Wong Kim Lei followed with a talk titled ‘Sizzling Without Hormones’.

The Q&A session covered topics such as the use of lasers to tighten the vaginal area and increase sensual pleasure for both parties, good vagina care practices, prevention of pregnancy during peri-menopause and sexually-transmitted diseases. Participants were delighted with the creative gifts in their goodie bags such as mugs and pack-of-three condoms of different variants, courtesy of Karex Rubber Industries Berhad.
