World Menopause Day 2016

MMS’ annual celebration, attended by about 200 participants, was officiated by Ms Nora Murat from the International Federation of Planned Parenthood (East Asia and Oceania), who gave a short address on the population expansion in the Asia region and how they are lobbying the government to provide social security as well as better facilities for an ageing population.

Choir performances and Belly dancing provided good breaks to long stream of medical talks. However, the medical talks were also well-received, with many participants appreciating the informative content. Speakers were Dr Ho Choon Moy, Dr Wong Kim Lei, Prof Emeritus Dato Dr Nik Nasri, Mr Jagdev Singh, Mrs Jagjeet Singh and Mr Anthony Das.

Other activities included a Talk and demonstration on Nordic Walking, a talk on Self-actualisation, a talk on Qigong by Dr FM Wong, President of CSCQ Qigong Association and 4 rounds of Lucky Draws.
